“I loved this class Betsy! You are such a natural teacher and so encouraging. I especially loved your tips and tricks with materials (and the tooth pick trick is genius!) Thanks for this fun class!!”

About the Artist

I’m drawn to places where there’s always something to notice—tide pools that reward patience, woods that invite wandering, old houses with nooks, surprises, and stories tucked into their walls. Have you ever walked into a space and felt that little tug of curiosity, like ooh, what’s around the corner? That feeling is where my work begins.

Scientific Illustration courses sharpened my eye, and my Textiles and Fibers BFA grew my love of color and fabrics, but it’s the time spent outdoors, teaching, and paying attention that really shapes how I design. What starts as observation becomes something meant to be lived with—a card that nudges you to write a note, a tea towel pulled out when friends are over, fabric chosen for a project made with care. There’s delight in everything I make, and an open invitation to surround yourself with details that spark connection, memory, and a sense of wonder.
